2019 X-RAY Recertification

The NCCA offers 6-Hour X-ray Recertification for CAs who have completed the 50-Hour Basic X-ray Certification Program. Once you are certified, you must attend one 6-hour recertification class every calendar year after your certification year. The classes will review physics, positioning, and methods of improving radiographic quality.

X-Ray Recertification Online Education 

Before Registering for this course please note:

  • The NCCA has a new education portal which requires each registrant to have their own individual e-mail address. 
    • This means DO NOT use an e-mail that is shared with another person.
    • If you do not have one you can make one for free using


CA Academy Members: $95

CA  Non-Members: $125


How do I know if I am a CA member? If your doctor is a member of the NCCA and has purchased a staff membership for his profile you will be classified as a "ca member"

All XT Certificate holders are required to renew their Certification annually.

  • All Renewal requirements are due to the Board office by 5 P.M. December 31, 2019 (there is a grace period that ends on February 28, 2020). Registration after 12/31 will incur a late fee.
  • The renewal requirements include:
    1. Complete the 6-hours of online education.
    2. Pay your certificate renewal fee to the Board of Examiners. 
  • The NCCA will automatically report your completion to the Board of Examiners. These reports are sent weekly.
  • After you complete the 6-hours of education in this course, go to and pay your renewal fee.

  • This fee is required by the Board of Examiners in order to renew your X-Ray Certification.
