Recent OIG reports on chiropractic have not been favorable. As a result, Medicare has changed the documentation and coding guidelines for 2017. Meanwhile, the Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MPS) overhaul has begun and audits have increased. Medicare requires that you “objectively demonstrate treatment effectiveness” in every active case. Dr. Fucinari will give us an overview of the Medicare changes and how to document to meet the requirements and stand up to the scrutiny of a Medicare reviewer, while improving your profile under MIPS.
